Jamberry Nails – New York inspired

You know what today is, so here we go - #MANIMONDAY!

In January, I went to New York for 2 days. Clearly a quick trip in and out – primarily for my husband’s grandmother’s 90th birthday celebration and a chance to see my sisters, AND since it had been years since I was last in the Big Apple, I couldn’t pass up this opportunity. But the big question was – what jamicure would I wear? Priorities, right? Well, call me crazy, but I just HAD to wear the luster, navy and gold flecked “Brooklyn Bridge” wrap, accented with January’s Stylebox exclusive wrap in “Walk The Line”.

The Brooklyn Bridge wrap is a HUGE seller for Jamberry, and rightly so – it goes on smooth, has the perfect combination of geometric pattern and sparkle and really, it looks great on everyone. Unfortunately I didn’t make my way over to the real Brooklyn Bridge, but that would have made for a pretty stellar photo shoot, aye? Luckily, I had time to sneak in a photo – I love how the pattern on the wraps compliment the gate’s architecture. I’m always keeping my eyes peeled for a cool place to showcase my nailfies (yes, nail selfies). HA!

And now, without further ado, time for my latest Jamberry tip!

Today’s topic: COOLING!

  • Let your wraps cool completely (wraps are heat activated), before filing or clipping off the excess. This will not only give them time to seal a bit more, but will also allow the wrap to recover from any stretching that occurred during the application process.

  • BONUS tip: In a hurry? Grab an ice pack or some frozen peas to cool your nails to in a snap!
