Friday Favs: City Girl On-The-Go

Ah, that time of year when spring clothing is in full swing. It’s always hard to wrap my head around seeing next season’s line of swimsuits in the dead of winter, but here’s hoping that subconsciously makes someone like me (who definitely suffers from seasonal affective disorder) tell myself that I am desperate need of a vacation. So yea, maybe there’s something to it, why swim wear is displayed in February.

But in any case, I know it may feel “so last season”, but I’m still loving the “dress + sneakers” look. Now, we’re not talking buttoned-up monochrome skirt suit with running shoes. No, no, we’re talking brightly colored floral dress with platform sneaks, fuchsia lipstick and a sporty bag. A little bit of everything, ya? I love something unexpected but wearable! And best of all, this outfit is comfortable! No sky-high pumps (but we all know I love a good stiletto), but a cumfy maxi dress and sneakers.

And who doesn’t love shiny metallic accents to brighten up your outfit! What's my #1 styling tip for today? Mix and match your metallic! That's right, they definitely don’t have to match! In fact, my watch is silver and my bangles I wear almost daily are gold! It’s more fun to switch it up, right? Life’s too short for one solid color. :)

Here are a few tips for this outfit:

  • It can be dressed up or down! Not feeling like sneakers? Wear some nude platforms instead!

  • Wear a rope belt for a different look!

  • Switch out the earrings for a long pendant

  • Feel like this outfit for fall? Throw on a faux fur and wedges and you’re still good to go

  • And for spring – wear wedge sandals and a big beachy tote!

Do you LOVE this bold, city girl on-the-go style?

And, for the record, I know these items are pretty pricey (though the rings set is only $25!), so, I've curated ANOTHER set of outfit inspo right here for you - more budget-friendly options, let's call this a "lust" vs. "must". Check it out below and click here to shop!!

*Side note - I'm LOVING the current Pantone Color of the Year "Ultra Violet" - how chic in a gloss or matte lipstick!

Happy styling!!
